LA Clinton Pal: Trump’s a ‘Sexual Predator,’ Bill’s Sexual Misconduct Was ‘None of Our Business’

Linda Bloodworth-Thomason was a TV-producing heavyweight in 1992 – most notably with the CBS hit Designing Women – when she promoted the Clintons with a gushy Democratic convention video. Even then, we thought it was fascinating her show had a big “I Believe Anita Hill” episode as she backed Slick Willie…although it was two years before Paula Jones took him to court.

On Wednesday, Bloodworth-Thomason penned a “guest column” in The Hollywood Reporter titled “Lessons from Witnessing Four Decades of Harassment in Hollywood.” This is the quick-and-dirty summation: Donald Trump is a “sexual predator,” but Bill Clinton was unfortunately tagged for “sexual misconduct…that was none of our business.”

I, myself, was a member of a “Let’s Bring Harvey Weinstein Down” lunch club, and I don’t even work in features. However, I will be the first to admit that clearly delineated moral choices can still be painfully complex

Rosie O’Donnell Says You Can’t Compare a Predator President Trump to Weinstein

Rosie O’Donnell is calling out the hosts of NBC’s Morning Joe for making a “false equivalence” between President Donald Trump and disgraced film executive Harvey Weinstein—one of which she feels is much worse than the other.

On Wednesday morning the 55-year-old comedian tweeted: “hey morning joe – TRUMP is the president – harvey weinstein never was – both are gross sexual predators but its a false equivalence #tvHOSTS.” Her tweet is in response to a comment made by Donny Deutsch, who is not a host but a regular guest on Morning Joe, on Friday.

“Like our president, everything is about [Weinstein]. There are a lot of parallels—I’m not calling our president a sexual predator—but there are a lot of parallels in the psyche of these two guys,” said Deutsch, the former host of the CNBC talk show The Big Idea With Donny Deutsch.

Jim Jefferies on Harvey Weinstein: “A sexual predator and a total piece of s**t”

On Tuesday night, Jim Jefferies, the host of Comedy Central’s, “The Jim Jefferies Show,” bluntly described disgraced former Hollywood darling Harvey Weinstein as “a sexual predator and a total piece of shit.”

After describing the allegations against Weinstein, including the fact that TMZ reported his contract included a stipulation that he pay women who accused him of sexual harassment or worse, Jefferies condemned Weinstein’s decision to respond by going to sex addiction rehab.

“You don’t go to rehab for sexual assault. You go to prison,” Jefferies said.

He then went on denounce Fox News for hypocrisy, pointing out that the hosts trying to smear Hillary Clinton and the Democrats for their association with Weinstein were ignoring the alleged offenses of Roger Ailes, Bill O’Reilly and

Carrie Fisher, the gawd

While the world is only just catching on to the sexual predators plaguing virtually all sectors of life for women, like the systemic killing of POCs, it’s only becoming a reality to those not directly effected by it, mostly due to the corrective powers of social media transparency.

Which is to say that while your timeline may be flooded with painful #metoo recollections and men finally pledging to hold their peers accountable, you can expect the days ahead to be littered with even more accounts from those that are finally comfortable enough (or have sacrificed their comfort to pull the veil off an epidemic) to share their story.

And while Harvey Weinstein has been made an example, and his ousting from Hollywood and any political sphere he may have infiltrated

Here’s the connection between sexual predator Harvey Weinstein and Bill Clinton

Hollywood is finally distancing itself from sexual predator Harvey Weinstein, but recently unearthed is a significant connection between him and former President Bill Clinton, who was also accused of numerous sexual assaults.

What is the connection?

Fox News reports on a news item from 1998 in the Washington Post where a list of contributors to Bill Clinton’s legal defense fund is listed.

Amidst some famous names is the now infamous name, Harvey Weinstein.

“Hollywood was quick to come to the president’s aid,” the decades old report read. “Among the 62 donors giving the maximum $10,000 were performers and directors such as Tom Hanks, Barbra Streisand, Michael Douglas, Ron Howard, Norman Lear, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw-Spielberg as well as studio executives Jeffrey Katzenberg, David Geffen, Harvey Weinstein and Bud Yorkin.”

Clinton was defending himself in an investigation by independent counsel Kenneth Star looking into whether the president had committed perjury or

Harvey Weinstein was never the only sexual predator in the Academy. That means it has much more work to do.

Now that Harvey Weinstein has been kicked out of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the obvious question presents itself: What now?

While Weinstein is an unusually high-profile figure whose identity was closely tied with the Oscars, he certainly wasn’t the only person accused of predatory behavior within the Academy’s ranks. Bill Cosby remains a member of the Academy, for example, as does Roman Polanski.

Does it follow, then, that they’ll be kicked out too? Or will the “ethical standards of conduct” only apply going forward? For that matter, will there actually be a new code of conduct, or will the organization quietly carry on as it always has?

In a statement announcing the decision over the weekend, the AMPAS board of governors wrote that it hoped to “send a message that the era of willful ignorance and shameful

‘What Haunts Us’ Trailer: Complicit Silence About Sexual Predator Burdens Town In Timely Docu

EXCLUSIVE: With all the allegations of sexual abuse and harassment surfacing in Hollywood, Paige Goldberg Tolmach’s documentary What Haunts Us couldn’t come at a better time. With the film, Tolmach proves that the harm from complicit silence about sexual abuse goes beyond the bubble of Hollywood by bringing us to the seemingly perfect Porter-Gaud School in Charleston, South Carolina, where a teacher turned out to be a sexual predator — and nearly everyone at the school refused to address the horrible issue.

When Tolmach heard about the suicide of yet another former schoolmate, she begins to take a deeper look at the past. She asks questions that almost no one wants to answer, but as she digs deeper she learns an awful truth about a beloved teacher who methodically manipulated and molested many of his students for years. The story becomes her obsession and tries to understand why
